Details

What's wrong: A software programming error may cause the electric drive system battery to become overcharged under certain driving conditions, which can shut down the electric drive system and result in a loss of drive power.

Why it matters: An unexpected loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

The fix: Dealers will update the battery electric vehicle electronic control unit (bev ECU) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 18, 2026.
