What's wrong: A misadjusted transmission cable can allow the engine to be started while the transmission is in a forward or reverse drive gear.
Why it matters: The vehicle can be started and then move in an unexpecteddirection, resulting in a vehicle crash without prior warning. The vehicle alsofails to comply with the requirements of fmvss 102.
The fix: Reset the transmission cable routing to a revised pathway.
