NHTSA recall 93V130000
Trailer Hitches · FOUR WINDS CMPR. MFG. CO.
Details
What's wrong: These travel trailers have too light a hitch weight as a percentage of total trailer weight.
Why it matters: Low hitch weight can result in instability and poordirectional control between the tow vehicle and the travel trailer.
The fix: Steel bars will be added to the hitch portion of the trailer frame to attain or exceed 10 percent of the trailer weight to the hitch weight as recommended by industry guideline.
