Details
What's wrong: Certain travel trailers may have been equipped with improperly constructed spare tire support brackets that cause the spare tire to hang too low to the ground.
Why it matters: If the spare tire contacts the ground it can break away from its support, creating a road hazard which may result in vehicle damage and/or personal injury.
The fix: Dealers will inspect and relocate the spare tire and carrier to allow sufficient ground clearance free of charge. The recall began on October 31, 2006.
