NHTSA recall 11V161000
Equipment · Crossroads RV
Details
What's wrong: The federal identification tag on the vehicles contains incorrect, gross axle weight rating (gawr) and gross vehicle weight rating (gvwr) information. Accordingly, the vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of part 567, "certification."
Why it matters: Should a consumer rely on the incorrect axle and weight rating information, the vehicle could be overloaded, causing a tire failure that could result in a crash causing personal or property damage.
The fix: Crossroads will replace the federal identification tag with one containing the correct weight ratings free of charge. The safety recall began on March 17, 2011.
