NHTSA recall 15V381000
Equipment · Heartland Recreational Vehicles, LLC
Details
What's wrong: The affected trailers have federal certification labels that may be missing the gross axle weight rating (gawr) information. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 cfr part 567, "certification."
Why it matters: The vehicle operator may unintentionally overload the trailer due to the missing gawr information, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
The fix: Heartland will notify owners, and dealers will replace the incorrect certification label with a corrected label, free of charge. The recall began on July 29, 2015.
