NHTSA recall 24V713000
Exterior Lighting · Royal Enfield North America Limited
Details
What's wrong: The side and rear reflectors are not sufficient. As such, these lights fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."
Why it matters: Without the proper reflective equipment, it may be difficult for other road users to see the motorcycle from the rear or side, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will replace the side and rear reflectors, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 30, 2024.
