What's wrong: Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Air vehicles equipped with rear-wheel drive. The gen 4 inverter may experience internal friction and become damaged, causing a loss of drive power.
Why it matters: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
The fix: Lucid will release an over-the-air (ota) software update to continually inspect for an inverter failure. If a failure is detected Lucid will replace the inverter, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 8, 2026.
