NHTSA recall 26V370000
Electrical System · Ford Motor Company
Details
What's wrong: The instrument cluster may lose power after initial vehicle start-up in cold ambient temperatures. Several gauges, including the transmission gear position indicator, may not illuminate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 102, "transmission shift lever sequence, starter interlock, and transmission braking effect."
Why it matters: An instrument cluster that fails to display critical safety information, such as gear position or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash or injury.
The fix: Dealers will update the instrument panel cluster assembly (ipc) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 17, 2026.
