NHTSA recall 26V540000

What's wrong: Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Air vehicles. The exterior lighting circuit may have insufficient overcurrent protection, allowing the circuit to overheat.

Why it matters: An overheated circuit increases the risk of a fire. A loss of the center brake light or front lights can also decrease visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix: Owners are advised to park their vehicle outside and away from structures until the recall remedy is completed. Lucid has released an over-the-air (ota) software update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 25, 2026.
