What's wrong: The affected vehicles have front seat seatbelt pretensioners that May not function properly in the event of a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (fmvss) number 208, "occupant crash protection," and 209, "seat belt assemblies."
Why it matters: If the front seat seatbelt pretensioners do not function properly, the seat occupants May not be adequately restrained in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
The fix: Mbusa will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front seat belts, free of charge. The recall began October 13, 2017.

Why it matters: If the seatback does not properly lock, in the event of a crash, the seatbacks May fold forward, increasing the risk of injury.
The fix: Mbusa will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the locking of the seatbacks, replacing the seatbacks lock, as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin May 25, 2018.

(mbusa) is recalling certain 2013-2017 vehicles due to a software fault that May cause the date and time for the emergency call system (ecall) to differ from the actual date and time, potentially relaying an inaccurate vehicle location.
