Problem: Honda (american honda motor co.) is recalling certain 2023-2025 vt1300cx and 2024-2025 vt750 motorcycles. the fuel pump may malfunction due to a manufacturing defect.
Risk: Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge. owner notification letters will be mailed beginning november 27, 2026. owners may contact honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. honda's number for this recall is ku9. vehicle identification numbers (vins) involved in this recall will be searchable on nhtsa.gov beginning october 8, 2026.
Fuel System, Gasoline #17V805000 · 2017 · 20 units
Problem: Honda (american honda motor co.) is recalling certain 2017 honda vt1300cx fury motorcycles and 2010 and 2016 honda vt1300cx fury motorcycles that received a replacement fuel tank. the fuel tank may be missing welds around the mounting bracket.
Risk: If the welds are missing, the mounting bracket can separate from the tank, allowing fuel to leak and increasing the risk of a fire in the presence of an ignition source.
Fix: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the fuel tank welds and, as necessary, replace the fuel tank, free of charge. the recall began december 14, 2017. owners may contact honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138.
