NHTSA recall 16V409000
Equipment · DS Corp - DBA Crossroads RV
Details
What's wrong: Affects vehicles equipped with an outside kitchen compartment. In the affected trailers, the inside range burners may be extinguished unintentionally when the outside kitchen compartment door is opened.
Why it matters: With the burners extinguished, the propane may continue to flow, creating a build up of propane gas, which in the presence of an ignition source, can increase the risk of a fire and/or explosion.
The fix: Crossroads has notified owners, and dealers will install a piece of trim to cover the air gap behind the inside range to the outside kitchen, free of charge. The recall began on June 9, 2016.
